US Senate Again Rejects War Powers Resolution — Third Democratic Attempt Fails 53-47

According to the Associated Press, the US Senate on Wednesday again rejected a resolution to limit the war powers of the President of the United States. The proposed resolution by Democratic Senator Cory Booker was defeated with 53 votes against and 47 votes in favor. This is the third time Democrats have put such a resolution to a vote.
