Trump Distances US from Israeli Strike on South Pars, Threatens to Destroy Entire Field if Iran Attacks Qatar Again

US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social stating that America had no knowledge of Israel's attack on the South Pars gas field in Iran, and that no such attack will be repeated, adding that he has no desire to carry one out due to the long-term consequences for Iran's future. Trump's full statement: "Israel, out of anger over what has happened in the Middle East, has violently attacked a major facility called the South Pars Gas Field in Iran. A relatively small portion of the entire field was hit. The United States had no knowledge of this specific attack, and Qatar was not involved in any way, shape, or form, and had no idea that such a thing was going to happen. Unfortunately, Iran did not know this, or any of the relevant and important facts regarding the attack on South Pars, and unjustly and unfairly attacked part of Qatar's LNG gas facility. No more attacks by Israel will be carried out in connection with this very important and valuable South Pars gas field, unless Iran wrongly decides to attack Qatar - which is completely innocent in this matter. In that case, the United States of America, with or without Israel's help or consent, will destroy the entire South Pars gas field with enormous force and intensity that Iran has never seen or experienced. I am not inclined to approve this level of violence and destruction, due to its long-term consequences on Iran's future, but if Qatar's LNG is attacked again, I will not hesitate for a moment and will do it.
