Only 2 Commercial Ships, Zero Oil Tankers Pass Through Strait of Hormuz in 24 Hours
The Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC) reported that only two commercial vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours, with no oil tankers making passage during the same period. The dramatic drop in traffic underscores the severe disruption to global energy supply chains as the effective closure of the strategic waterway continues. The Strait of Hormuz normally handles approximately 20% of the world's seaborne oil trade.
