Iran FM Araghchi: Tehran Seeks "Permanent End to War," Not Ceasefire
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Iran is not seeking a "ceasefire" but welcomes a "permanent end to the war."
Speaking to Al Jazeera in Tehran, he said: "We are not looking for a ceasefire because we do not want this scenario to repeat itself after some time. We want a complete and permanent end to the war."
He also said the US entered the war by "encouraging Israel" and based on a "miscalculation": "Those who demanded our unconditional surrender have now been forced to ask even their rivals for help in reopening the Strait of Hormuz."
On the health of Mojtaba Khamenei, he said: "As far as I know, regarding the Supreme Leader, there have only been superficial injuries, and he is in full health and has the situation under control."
