VP Vance Warns US Has Unused "Tools" Against Iran; White House Denies Nuclear Weapons Speculation

US Vice President JD Vance warned on Tuesday, April 7 (18th of Farvardin) that the United States "has tools it has not yet decided to use against Iran." Vance, who traveled to Hungary, told reporters: "The United States has largely achieved its military objectives," and added that "from now until the US deadline at 8pm Eastern time, there will be many negotiations." He stated: "They should know that we have tools we have not decided to use yet. The US President can decide to use them, and if the Iranians do not change their course of behavior, he will make that decision." Vance did not elaborate further. The official Trump administration account on X reposted an explanation from the "Headquarters" media outlet regarding Vance's remarks, writing: "Absolutely none of what the VP said here suggests anything like [the use of nuclear weapons]. You complete idiots!" Vance had indicated that the US has "tools" it has not yet used in this war. Many media outlets, including Headquarters, analyzed that Vance was referring to nuclear weapons — an interpretation strongly dismissed by the White House.
