US Embassy in Baghdad Struck by Drones Again; Helicopter Pad Targeted

Confirmed reports indicate that the US Embassy in Baghdad has been attacked by drones again. AP reported that Iraqi officials told the outlet that a helicopter landing pad at the US Embassy in Baghdad was targeted. Images show smoke rising from the complex in the Iraqi capital. The embassy had previously been targeted in attacks during the US-Israel war against Iran. Saturday's attack occurred shortly after two Iran-backed fighters were killed in strikes on Baghdad. One of the targets was reported to be the home of Rahif Qassem, also known as Abu Ali, a senior commander of a pro-Iran militia group that has carried out drone and missile attacks on US facilities near Baghdad airport almost every day. Al Jazeera Arabic had previously reported smoke rising from the US Embassy in Baghdad.
