Strike on Yazd Airport Targets Military Aircraft; Fuel Tank Explosions Reported, Passenger Terminal Undamaged

Based on messages received from various citizens, on Tuesday, March 17 (26 Esfand), between 18:30 and 19:00, something resembling an oil depot or fuel tank at Yazd Airport was struck in an attack, producing thick black smoke. Some believed aircraft may also have been among the targets and that their fuel was the source of the explosions. According to a follow-up message received by Vahid Online: The airport building and passenger aircraft at Yazd Airport were not damaged in the attack. Several types of military aircraft that had been parked far from the passenger terminal since the start of the war were struck two nights ago. The continuous explosions were from the fuel tanks of these fighter jets. There is no launcher at that location.
