Iranian Social Media: "Millions Kept in Poverty to Build Missile Cities" — Condemnations of Islamic Republic Go Viral

Iranian social media users are condemning the Islamic Republic for building underground missile cities while keeping millions of citizens in poverty. In a widely-shared thread, commentator @ardalanmousavi wrote: "Kolbars and fuel smugglers and millions of people were kept in poverty so these missile cities could be built. Millions of people were deprived of a normal life so these missiles and missile cities could be built. They destroyed the environment to build missile cities. They made people miserable to build missile cities. Curse the Islamic Republic." @ESabriFO responded: "Now I wish it was for protecting the country, but it is all for the delusions of a bunch of psychopaths who want to liberate Jerusalem and annex Karbala and destroy the rest. And now some people are defending [the regime] and have become patriots. They have forgotten who they have been dealing with for fifty years. Of course many of them are worried about their own interests." The Vahid Online channel added that regime-linked figures are reportedly worried about their personal information being exposed — including names, photos, jobs, and phone numbers of family members connected to the government. The channel noted: "The received messages are not limited to these things and are not just about employees of IRGC-affiliated news agencies. They never were."
