Iran FM Araghchi Accuses US of Striking Qeshm Desalination Plant, Cutting Water to 30 Villages

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the United States of targeting a desalination plant on Qeshm Island, cutting off water supplies to 30 villages. Araghchi described the strike as "an obvious crime born of desperation" and warned that attacking Iranian infrastructure is "a dangerous move with heavy consequences." He asserted that the US, not Iran, initiated such practices. CENTCOM had previously announced that the vessel Shahid Bagheri — carrying Iranian drones — was struck in waters near Qeshm Island.
