CENTCOM Warns Iranian Civilians to Stay Home as Iran Uses Urban Areas for Military Launches

US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a security warning Sunday urging Iranian civilians to remain in their homes, stating the Iranian government is using densely populated urban areas to conduct military operations. CENTCOM said Iranian forces are launching offensive drones and ballistic missiles from crowded civilian areas in cities including Dezful, Isfahan, and Shiraz. The command warned that locations used for military purposes lose their protected status under international law and may become legitimate military targets. CENTCOM stated it will take all possible measures to minimize civilian harm but cannot guarantee the safety of civilians near facilities used for military purposes by the Iranian government.
